Brand identity for a Fivex. They are a new business that will offer a range of carbon offset projects to individuals or businesses, all of which meet the quality assurance standard for carbon offsetting.

The logo is bold, simple & memorable. The brand symbol is a stylised leaf that immediately suggests that the company is looking to help create a brighter sustainable future. The wordmark is set in a custom version of Titling Gothic Wide which is a grotesque sans-serif typeface. Purposely chiselled off corners was implemented for a clinical and attainable aesthetic. A distinctive colour palette conveys a sense of life and passion. The brand colour is bold and vibrant fiery red that is different from the greens typically associated with carbon offsetting & environmentally friendly organisations. The identity was carefully considered to reflect Fivex bold mission.

The Challenge: Carbon offsetting is a serious global challenge. This is an extremely competitive sector. I was tasked to create a brand identity for Fivex that wasn’t cliche like other existing competitors. As digital marketing plays a huge role in social interaction it was pivotal that the logo works across all aspects of digital design.

The logo mark: Is comprised of five elements which form an abstract leaf. The logo mark was made to solidify the brand through the use of a social media icon, favicon and logo icon.

The logo lockup: The logo mark was constructed by using a grid system shown above. The logotype aligns with the logomark using the grid system effectively.

Full-colour logo: This design was made with trust in mind and needed to reflect professionalism. The logo mark is paired with a customised typeface that uses the 45° angle used within the logo mark.
